Schlumberger moves technology chief to head of 'new energy' division

Oilfield service big Schlumberger is transferring one among its high executives to guide a newly created division for “new vitality” initiatives.

In a Friday morning submitting with the Securities and Trade Fee, Schlumberger reported that Government Vice President of Know-how Ashok Belani switched roles Feb. 11 to turn out to be government vice chairman of Schlumberger New Vitality.

Schlumberger says its New Vitality division will deploy its personal set of applied sciences and practices to scale back its carbon footprint in exploration and manufacturing operations, and develop development alternatives in rising markets with “carbon-neutral applied sciences.”
